Semerkand TV Live Stream

The channel takes its name from Samarkand - Semerkand - the ancient Silk Road city, a name that carries the weight of Islamic scholarship and history. Semerkand TV is a Turkish religious channel, on air since 29 May 2010.

The channel's grid is built on faith: religious programs - teachings, sermons and programs on Islam and daily life - form its core, with children's shows and programs for women alongside. It broadcasts on the Turksat satellite and the cable platforms, reaching viewers across Turkey.

The channel expanded its reach quickly after launch: it began HD broadcasts on Turksat in November 2012, on the Teledünya cable network later that month, and on the D-Smart platform in December 2012 - a sign of how quickly it found its audience.

Broadcasting from Istanbul, Semerkand TV is one of Turkey's established religious broadcasters - a channel named for a city of faith, carrying its message to the country.
