TV channels Slovenia
Slovenian television is as compact as the country itself: its axis is the public broadcaster RTV Slovenija, while the private side is represented by news projects. Broadcasting is in Slovenian.
Public Broadcaster RTV Slovenija
The flagship of national television is TV SLO 1 - heir to the Slovenian airwaves since 1958: the general channel with news, drama series, films and major events. TV SLO 3 is the third channel, reserved for the regions, parliamentary sessions and the culture that does not fit the flagship's prime time. The multimedia side is represented by MMC RTV - the on-screen extension of the Multimedijski center, where the broadcaster gathers its digital video.
Private News Channels
News beyond the public service comes from Nova24TV - a Slovenian news media group with its own view of the day's agenda, talk shows and analysis. Its second channel, Nova24TV 2, continues the same line and adds airtime for debates and documentaries.
That is the Slovenian lineup: three screens of public broadcasting and two private news channels - the whole country in miniature, from Ljubljana to the regions.
