Lagos TV Live Stream

Lagos Television, also known as LTV, is a state-owned broadcaster established by the Lagos State Government in 1980. It began transmission on 9 November that year on VHF Channel 5. LTV later moved to UHF Channel 35, becoming Nigeria’s first station to operate on VHF and UHF frequencies at the same time. Lagos TV online television searches are tied to a broadcaster whose history is closely connected with public information in Lagos State.

A Lagos state broadcaster

The station was created to support the Lagos State Government’s information work. Its official history records the transition from VHF Channel 5 to UHF Channel 35 after national broadcasting rules restricted most stations to the UHF band. In 1998, Lagos Television and the state radio service were separated for more autonomous management. LTV’s studios, offices and library were destroyed in a 1985 fire, a major event in the station’s history.

News, public service and Lagos culture

LTV’s role includes state news, public information, community affairs, entertainment and cultural events. Its official history also records the annual Lagos Television Christmas Fair and the De-Blue Roof event facility. These activities reflect a broadcaster serving the state’s residents through information, local programming and public events. The channel’s identity remains rooted in Lagos and its long history as a state television service.
