Silenced in 1985, restored in 1990

TVR 2's schedule mixes entertainment, series and documentaries with cultural and educational programmes. Known formats include the interactive music programme Tonomat DP2, in which viewers vote for the songs they want played, and the channel has carried international series such as Doctor Who.

News shared with the TVR family

News and current affairs are shared with the rest of the public broadcaster, whose channels also include TVR 1, TVR 3, TVR Info, TVR Cultural, TVR Folclor, TVRi, TVR Moldova and TVR Sport.

Free-to-air in Romania and Moldova
