TVR Info Live Stream

TVR Info is a news channel of Romania’s public broadcaster, Televiziunea Română (TVR). It began broadcasting on 31 December 2008 and returned on 22 June 2022 after a four-year interruption. The channel’s profile combines around-the-clock news with practical information, including traffic updates from major Romanian cities.

News with practical information

TVR Info’s format includes hourly news on politics, international affairs, sport and weather. The channel has also carried traffic information and weather updates, giving its schedule a practical service element alongside current affairs. A 2011 rebranding introduced a more dynamic format, with news bulletins alternating with debates. These subjects remain central to the channel’s identity as a public television news service.

Documentaries and event coverage

Beyond the regular news cycle, TVR Info’s programming has included documentaries and sports events. The channel’s coverage of sport forms part of its broader news remit, alongside national and international developments. Together with utility information and traffic images, these formats give the station a mix of reporting and service-oriented content.

History within TVR

TVR Info was closed on 15 August 2012 during TVR’s economic recovery measures. TVR News subsequently occupied the news-channel role before TVR Info returned in 2022. Today it is part of the TVR channel family. Its live stream and public-broadcasting background make it an online television option for viewers seeking Romanian news, traffic information and current-affairs programming.
