Northeast Live Live Stream

Northeast Live is a Guwahati-based satellite news channel serving India's eight northeastern states. Pride East Entertainments describes it as the region's first satellite English news channel; it also carries special Hindi news bulletins. The broadcaster frames its purpose around representing people across the region, highlighting local concerns and aspirations, and following issues shaping the states' development.

English reporting across eight states

The channel's coverage spans eight northeastern states: Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. Its news site groups stories by state and region, alongside national, international, opinion and sports sections. This structure keeps local politics and public affairs in view while connecting regional developments with wider stories from India and abroad.

Regional issues and public debate

Northeast Live says it aims to champion regional interests and bring attention to people's aspirations. The channel describes its schedule as a mix of news, views, music, sports and weekend shows, giving its editorial remit room for discussion as well as headlines. The website's current news desks include Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, with separate areas for national and international reporting.

NORTHEAST TONIGHT and the channel's shows

The broadcaster's flagship discussion programme, NORTHEAST TONIGHT, is a 90-minute show that examines issues affecting the region. It is anchored by veteran journalist and editor-in-chief Wasbir Hussain. The channel also lists Bottom Line, Insight: A Digital Exclusive, Talk Time and Chat Time among its programmes, placing the long-form regional discussion within a broader shows lineup.

A Pride East channel launched in 2018

Northeast Live is part of Pride East Entertainments Private Limited, a Guwahati-based media group. The channel marked its launch on 6 February 2018, and the company identifies Riniki Bhuyan Sharma as its chairperson and managing director. Its regional brief and newsroom base connect the broadcaster's coverage to the eight states it serves.
