Vasantham TV Live Stream

Vasantham TV is the Tamil-language channel of Sri Lanka's ITN network - the screen serving the island's Tamil-speaking communities, from Jaffna in the north to the tea estates of the hill country to Colombo.

Tamil Television, Sri Lankan Made

The grid broadcasts in the language of a quarter of the island: Tamil news bulletins, locally produced serials and variety shows, music programming and coverage of the festivals that mark the Tamil calendar - Thai Pongal at harvest time, Deepavali in the autumn and the great chariot festivals of the northern temples.

Part of the ITN Family

Vasantham shares the infrastructure of the Independent Television Network - Sri Lanka's pioneering broadcaster - giving Tamil viewers a channel with genuine national reach rather than a regional afterthought. In a country where language once divided the airwaves, and worse, the channel's very existence is itself a statement.

From Jaffna to the World

The channel runs around the clock, so anyone who wants to watch Vasantham TV online - including the large Tamil diaspora in Canada, Britain and beyond - stays connected to the island every day. A Vasantham live evening is the Tamil bulletin, the family serial and the temple festival broadcast in one sitting: Sri Lanka's Tamil community watching itself, in its own language, on a truly national screen.
