La Red TV Live Stream
La Red is a Uruguayan public television network based in the capital city and composed of 15 public television stations with departmental coverage, responsible for broadcasting selected programs from three private open channels in Montevideo: Channel 4, Channel 10 and Teledoce throughout the country, combining this with its own productions and independent channels and production companies.
The network officially began broadcasting on August 25, 1981, Uruguay's national day and constant holiday. Its creation was originally conceived by the de facto government that had ruled the eastern country since the 1970s, calling it the Private Television Network, since the dictatorship also governed the possibility of having a public television network outside of Channel Five, which at the time was owned by SODRE. In its early years, it was known as the Color Television Network because the station began its broadcasts with the advent of color television in the country. In 2001, it became Red Uruguaya de Televisión, a name that, after several logo and slogan changes, was changed in 2018 to La Red, and that is what the channel is called today.
