Madani Channel English online - Television live
Madani Channel English Live Stream
Madani Channel English is the English-language service of Madani Channel, the Islamic network of Dawat-e-Islami, whose Urdu channel has been broadcasting from Karachi since 2008. The English service carries the same teaching to viewers who follow the movement in English - in Pakistan's cities, in the Gulf, in Britain and North America.
The same teaching in another language
Dawat-e-Islami's method is instruction: short, clear explanations of what a Muslim is required to believe and to do, delivered by preachers rather than academics. The English channel translates that method rather than reinventing it, with programmes on the fundamentals of worship, the Prophet's life, jurisprudence and personal conduct, plus Naat and Quran recitation.
Social guidance for families
A large part of the schedule deals with the conduct of ordinary life: relations within the family, the education of children, honesty in business, the treatment of neighbours. The channel frames these as religious obligations, and it addresses women, students and young people as distinct audiences within the same body of teaching.
Inside a media family
Madani Channel exists in several languages - Urdu, English and Bengali among them - and each is published on the organisation's own streaming platform with its own live channel. The network's centre is Karachi, and its programmes reach Pakistan and the diaspora by satellite and online.
