Harbin Comprehensive News Channel Live Stream

Harbin Comprehensive News Channel is the flagship television news service of Harbin Radio and Television, the municipal broadcaster of Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province in northeast China. The channel concentrates on city affairs: municipal government decisions, urban development, public services and the daily life of one of China's largest northern cities.

Harbin Radio and Television was formed in 2012, when the city's existing broadcasting organizations — including Harbin People's Radio Station, Harbin Economic Radio and Harbin Television — were brought together into a single prefecture-level media institution. The merged broadcaster runs television channels, radio frequencies and the HRB online portal, with the comprehensive news channel as the main television outlet for local journalism.

Municipal news and public affairs

The channel's schedule is built around local news bulletins covering the Harbin city government, district administrations and community affairs. Public affairs programming follows issues such as transport, housing, heating supply during the long northeastern winter and municipal services that matter to residents. The channel also carries coverage of the city's best-known public events, including activities connected with the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, one of the largest winter festivals in the world.

A broadcaster shaped by a merger

The 2012 consolidation gave Harbin's television newsroom access to the combined reporting resources of the city's radio and television services. Reporting from the news channel is distributed through the broadcaster's HRB online portal, which publishes video reports and programme segments alongside the live broadcast.

Within Heilongjiang's media landscape, Harbin Comprehensive News Channel operates at the municipal level, complementing the provincial broadcaster's coverage with reporting focused specifically on the Harbin metropolitan area and its surrounding districts.
