A1on Live Stream

A1on is a Macedonian news and video portal established in 2012 by journalists who had previously worked for A1 Television. The former station, North Macedonia’s first private television channel, ceased broadcasting in 2011. A1on carries the brand’s online television legacy into digital journalism, publishing current reporting and video for Macedonian audiences.

News, analysis and investigations

The portal covers politics, society, the economy, culture, entertainment and sport. Alongside daily news and agency material, its newsroom publishes original reporting and investigative stories. The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network’s media profile says A1on publishes more than 100 news items a day and that its original articles are bylined by journalists.

A1 Television’s digital successor

A1 Television launched in 1993 and became a prominent private broadcaster before closing in 2011. A1on began the following year, created by former A1 journalists who wanted to continue the brand’s journalistic idea online. The relationship is editorial and historical: A1on is a news portal with written reports and video, not a continuation of the closed television transmission. Its reporting focuses on Macedonian public life and current affairs.

This mix of daily updates, analysis, video and investigations gives A1on a digital news role rooted in the earlier broadcaster’s history. Its online television heritage is visible in the continued use of video journalism alongside written coverage.
