NRK2 Live Stream

NRK2 is the second channel of Norway's public broadcaster NRK, on air since 1 September 1996. Where the main channel chases the broad audience, NRK2 slows down: in-depth news, documentaries, culture and long-form events make it the thinking viewer's corner of Norwegian public television.

Depth Over Pace

The evening opens with Dagsrevyen 21, the NRK's late news bulletin, and continues with the foreign-affairs magazine Urix and investigative documentaries from the Brennpunkt team. Parliamentary debates, press conferences and official ceremonies are carried in full here - the channel doubles as Norway's public-affairs window.

Culture and the Long Form

NRK2 has been the home of slow TV experiments and full-length cultural registrations: opera from the Oslo Opera House, classical concerts, literature programs and documentary series. Major sports events that overflow the main channel - championship skiing, biathlon, summer athletics - find extra airtime here.

Slow TV and Second Screen

The NRK2 live stream runs free around the clock, so anyone can watch NRK2 online alongside a deep catch-up archive of this Norwegian public TV channel. For viewers who prefer context to noise - a bulletin that explains rather than shouts, a documentary that takes its time - the second channel remains the quiet strength of Norway's public broadcasting.
