CNN en Espanol Live Stream
CNN en Español is a pan-American Spanish-language news channel owned by CNN. It was launched on pay television on 17 March 1997, and it carries the network's reporting to Spanish-speaking audiences across Latin America and the United States.
Earlier Spanish-Language Work
The channel's origins reach back to 1988, when CNN launched Noticiero CNN, a daily Spanish-language news programme made for audiences in Latin America and the United States. The Argentine journalist and editor Abel Dimant was recruited in that period as news director and developed the network's Spanish-language editorial operations, establishing many of the newsroom practices and language guidelines that shaped the later channel.
Through the late 1980s and early 1990s CNN expanded its presence in the Spanish-speaking market, and in 1992 CNN International began the international edition of the newscast.
Programming
The schedule follows the model of the parent network in Spanish: rolling news bulletins, live coverage of events in the Americas, interviews with political and business figures, and analysis of the region's economy and diplomacy.
Magazine and documentary strands fill the quieter hours, with correspondents in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Bogotá and other regional capitals contributing reporting throughout the day.
Access
CNN en Español is distributed by satellite and cable operators across the Americas and streams continuously over the internet in high definition, with its material also published on CNN's Spanish-language digital platforms.
