TV channels Slovakia
The Slovakia section of online-television.net brings together 27 channels that show the country's television: the full public STVR family, the private networks of Bratislava, the country's own rolling-news institution — and one of the densest regional television networks in Europe.
The Public Broadcaster — from RTVS to STVR
Jednotka — «Channel One» — is the flagship of Slovak public television, broadcasting since 1956 as the direct descendant of Czechoslovak Television's Bratislava studio. Dvojka is the second channel of the family, RTVS :24 is the 24-hour news channel — launched by RTVS and carried since 2024 under the new STVR brand — RTVS :O is the public archive-and-youth screen that replaced the old Trojka in 2022, and RTVS :ŠPORT carries the sports programming of the public broadcaster.
Private Networks and News
TV JOJ is a private Slovak television network with news, entertainment and its own hit formats. Its sister channels JOJ Plus and JOJ WAU extend the family with dramas, lifestyle and movies. TA3 is Slovakia's private all-news channel, broadcasting from Bratislava since 2001 — the country's own rolling-news institution, famous above all for the debates that set the political agenda. Televízia Osem and Televízia CENTRAL add their own entertainment and general programming.
City and Regional Television
Slovakia's regional network is remarkable. The capital appears with TV Bratislava and TV Ruzinov. Severka TV serves northern Slovakia and Žilina, TV Nitrička covers Nitra with its own newsroom, and TV Poprad is the local channel of the gateway city to the High Tatras. The list continues with NZTV in Nové Zámky, TV Sen, TVS - Skalica, TVM Myjava, TVB Brezová, TV Stará Turá, Turzovská TV in the Kysuce region, TV Mesta Dolný Kubín in the Orava region — broadcasting since 1997 — Bardejovská TV and TV Reduta.
Religious Broadcasting
TV Lux is Slovakia's Catholic television channel, broadcasting with the blessing of the Slovak Bishops' Conference — the screen where the country's Catholic majority finds Mass, prayer and family programming.
From a 1956 flagship to village screens, the section shows Slovak television in its full — national, regional, sporting and spiritual.
