TV Ružinov, now presented as TVR and TVRegión, is a Slovak broadcaster that grew from a municipal station into a regional television service. It began in 1996 under the name TV RIK and initially transmitted videotext about events in Bratislava’s Ružinov district. The station later expanded to a full schedule; in 2023 it described its remit as covering the wider Bratislava self-governing region. Its live TV schedule combines local reporting with community and magazine programming.

Local news and civic discussion

TVR Spravodajstvo reports current events in the region. Debata brings Ružinov district representatives into discussion, while Poznáte ich? introduces local council members. The schedule also includes Klub seniorov and TVR Deťom, programs aimed at older viewers and children.

Magazine programs and culture

Other titles broaden the schedule beyond news. Túlavé topánky offers travel ideas, and Vinyl explores Slovak, Czech and international music with presenter Roman Bomboš. Ergo covers healthy living, while TVR z archívu revisits older material. The broadcaster’s current program page also lists coverage from nearby towns and districts, including Pezinok and Petržalka.

The station is operated by TVR a RE, a company wholly owned by the Ružinov municipal district. Its evolution from videotext to a regional television and internet service has kept local public affairs at the heart of its coverage.
