TV channels Cyprus

Television in Cyprus speaks in two languages: Turkish-language broadcasting from the north and Greek Cypriot private channels from the Republic.

Northern Cyprus: Public and Private Television

BRT 1 TV is the flagship television channel of Bayrak Radyo Televizyon Kurumu, the official broadcaster of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and BRT 2 TV is its second channel - together they carry the public broadcasting of the north. Alongside them, Ada TV and Kıbrıs TV add Turkish-language private programming, from news to entertainment.

Greek Cypriot Private Channels

The Republic's commercial television is represented by its established brands. Omega TV is a private station with island-wide coverage, based in Strovolos and part of Cypriot television history. Sigma Tv is one of the island's leading private channels with news and entertainment, ANT1 Cyprus is the Cypriot arm of Greece's ANT1 network, and Alpha Cyprus brings the Alpha brand's entertainment programming to the island. Capital TV Cyprus rounds out the list with its own mix of Cypriot news and entertainment.
