Aleph News Live Stream

Aleph News is a Romanian news channel launched on 1 September 2020. Owned by the media entrepreneur Adrian Sârbu and operated by his company Aleph Media, it was conceived from the outset as a news service for the streaming era, with a newsroom designed to serve television and digital audiences at the same time.

A digitally native newsroom

Aleph News arrived as part of a family of channels authorised in 2019 by CNA, Romania's audiovisual council — alongside the planned Aleph Business and Aleph Comedy services — and began broadcasting in September 2020. Its declared focus on the integration of linear television and digital consumption, including mobile viewing, set it apart from Romania's older news channels: bulletins, interviews and debate programmes are produced to work as well on a phone screen as on a television set.

News and debate for Romania

The channel's output follows the Romanian news day: politics from Bucharest, the economy, social affairs and European questions, with studio debates and interviews alongside rolling news. Its live transmission runs continuously, distributed both as a television signal and as an internet stream, and its reports circulate through the channel's digital newsroom.

Within Romania's television market, Aleph News competes with the established national broadcasters by betting on a leaner, digital-first operation — a newer voice in Romanian news, backed by one of the country's best-known media executives.
