2M TV Live Stream

2M is Morocco's pioneering private-turned-public television network and consistently the country's most-watched channel. Launched on 4 March 1989 as the first private pay TV in Morocco, it broadcast encrypted programs from Casablanca; financial trouble led the state to take control in 1996, and on 10 January 1997 the channel began broadcasting in the clear. Today 2M is a subsidiary of the public broadcaster SNRT and runs around the clock in Arabic, French and Berber.

From Pay-TV Experiment to National Leader

Dropping encryption reshaped Moroccan television: by 2018 this Moroccan TV channel held an audience share of about 35 percent, far ahead of its rivals, and in October 2000 it switched to 24-hour broadcasting. Satellite distribution across the MENA region and Europe keeps the signal within reach of the large Moroccan diaspora.

What the Country Tunes In For

News comes in three languages - the Arabic evening bulletin Al Masa'iya, the French Info Soir and the Berber Inghmissen. Mornings belong to the lifestyle magazine Sabahiyat 2M, prime time to the talk show Rachid Show, the cooking favorite Shahiwat maa Shoumisha and social formats such as Maa Lnass and the sitcom L'Couple. Children get the 2M Kids block, while Turkish and Indian dramas arrive dubbed into Moroccan Arabic.

Watching Beyond Morocco

A 2M live window keeps viewers - whether in Casablanca, Paris or Amsterdam - tuned to the same grid that leads the ratings at home.
