Stortingets TV Live Stream

Stortingets TV is the Norwegian Parliament’s official web television service, carrying live plenary meetings, most open committee hearings and selected public events. It provides online television coverage of legislative proceedings and preserves them in the parliamentary video archive. The archive includes recordings dating back to January 2010, extending public access to parliamentary work beyond the day of broadcast.

Debates and question time

Coverage includes debates on bills and other national issues, committee hearings, question sessions and votes. A recurring format is Muntlig spørretime (Oral Question Time), when members of parliament put current questions to government ministers. The Parliament publishes meeting dates and agendas, and recordings of question sessions are listed with the weekly proceedings.

Proceedings and public record

Stortingets web TV also carries open hearings from designated rooms alongside sessions in the main chamber. Its video archive preserves meetings and many hearings, making the service a public record of legislative discussion as well as live coverage. Through these broadcasts, the channel documents how elected representatives debate policy, question ministers and consider legislation in Norway’s national legislature.
