France 2 Live Stream

France 2 is a French free-to-air public television channel, the flagship of France Télévisions, headquartered in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. It broadcasts generalist programming - news, drama, films, game shows, factual programmes and sport - nationally on TNT and by cable, satellite and IPTV.

From RTF Télévision 2 to France 2

The channel began test broadcasts on 10 September 1959 and launched officially on 18 April 1964 as RTF Télévision 2. After the ORTF was dissolved in 1975 it became Antenne 2, and in 1992 it merged with FR3 under the new France Télévision organisation, taking the name France 2; in 2000 it was folded with the other public channels into France Télévisions. Its programmes are also carried internationally by TV5Monde.

The Grid of a Public Flagship

The day is built around the JT news editions, the morning show Télématin, the investigative magazines Envoyé spécial and Complément d'enquête, and the interview format Les rencontres du Papotin, alongside drama, films and national sport.
