Nessma El Jadida is a Tunisian commercial television channel broadcasting in Arabic and French to the Maghreb. Owned by Maghreb Broadcast (75%) and Mediaset (25%), it relaunched on 11 March 2022, continuing the Nessma brand that has served North African audiences since 2007.

History

The Nessma channel was founded in 2007 by the Karoui brothers' company with Mediaset and Quinta Communications as partners. After phases as Nessma Red, Green and Blue (2013-2016), the service was relaunched as Nessma El Jadida in March 2022. Its studio is in Radès, in the Ben Arous Governorate.

Programming

The channel carries a general-interest Maghrebi grid: drama series, game shows, entertainment and news, with programmes subtitled in French and Maghrebi Arabic. Its best-known format is Man sa yarbah al malyoon, the Maghrebi version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Distribution

Nessma El Jadida broadcasts across North Africa, the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Asia, and streams live through nessma.tv with its programmes archived on YouTube.
