LTV7 online - Television live
LTV7 Live Stream
Every national broadcaster needs a second screen - somewhere to put the sport, the documentaries, the programs the flagship cannot fit. In Latvia, that screen is LTV7.
The channel has a longer history than its name suggests. It began as a Soviet-era relay in 1961 and took its modern form in August 1991, as LTV2, in the weeks after Latvia restored its independence. In January 2003, during a corporate rebrand of Latvijas Televīzija, it was renamed LTV7 - the name it carries today.
Where LTV1 carries the national grid, LTV7 carries the rest: live sport above all - the channel is the home of Latvian sport on public television - plus documentaries, cultural programs, regional magazines and the extended coverage of parliamentary sittings and national events. Until 2025 it was also the broadcaster's home for Russian-language programming, a service that has since ended.
Run by Latvijas Televīzija from Riga as part of the LSM public media group, LTV7 broadcasts in 1080i - the second channel, carrying what the first cannot.
