Athaqafia Live Stream

Athaqafia is the cultural channel of SNRT, Morocco's national broadcasting company. Its schedule is devoted to Moroccan culture - society, heritage, arts and debate - broadcasting in Arabic, French, Amazigh and English.

Viewers follow Athaqafia for programmes such as Sira wa Massar and Aklam wa Alwan, together with its cultural documentaries and talk formats covering Morocco's intellectual and artistic life.

Morocco's Didactic Channel

Athaqafia - its name simply means The Cultural - was the first Moroccan channel with a didactic vocation. Owned entirely by the state broadcaster SNRT, where it operates as SNRT 4 alongside Al Aoula, Arryadia and the other national services, the channel proved its public-service role during 2020 and 2021, when it became the main source of distance-learning broadcasts in Morocco.

The channel broadcasts daily from noon to midnight, opening with the national anthem and a Quran reading; outside broadcast hours it carries the programmes of National Radio. Friday prayers are relayed from a mosque of the Kingdom, as on every SNRT channel.

Culture on the Schedule

Documentaries, pedagogical programmes and polemical, philosophical talk shows fill the grid - a schedule that serves Morocco's intellectual debate in several languages, from Arabic and French to Amazigh.
