From launch to licensed broadcaster

The channel launched on 28 October 2002 and was formally approved by the Macau SAR government as a licensed satellite television company in 2008, receiving authorisation for six satellite TV broadcast channels. Its output has since covered film screenings, cultural features, news and interview formats for Macanese and wider Chinese-speaking audiences.

Macau-based, facing the world

Lotus TV positions itself as a broadcaster rooted in Macau and oriented toward the world, with programming that promotes Macau's own culture and current affairs alongside international content. The channel streams its signal online as well as via satellite, reaching viewers across the region and the Chinese-speaking diaspora.
