ČT2 online - Television live

ČT2 Live Stream

ČT2 is the second channel of Czech Television, the public broadcaster of the Czech Republic, devoted to culture, documentaries, education and programming beyond the mainstream. Broadcasting from Prague, it complements the flagship ČT1, and viewers who watch TV online can follow the channel live around the clock.

Public Television Beyond the Mainstream

ČT2 traces its roots to the second channel of Czechoslovak Television, on air since 1970. It remains the home of the broadcaster's specialized programming: documentaries, culture, serious talk and content the mass-audience first channel serves less often.

Documentaries Through the Day

The schedule is built around documentary blocks covering nature, history and society, with educational programs in the daytime. Evenings bring cultural magazines, in-depth interviews and foreign series, while prime time features documentary premieres, films and thematic cycles. Weekend mornings carry religious broadcasting and programs for the country's minority communities.

Historie.cs and Fellow Travelers

Signature strands include Historie.cs, the long-running cycle on Czech and Czechoslovak history, and travel documentaries like Kamera na cestach and S kucharem kolem sveta, beside international factual series from BBC Earth. Talk and culture formats give space to writers, artists and thinkers; film nights present classics and festival discoveries.

Studios Across the Country

Programs come from Prague headquarters and the Brno and Ostrava studios, with presenters drawn from the broadcaster's documentary and culture desks.

The Second Program, Live Everywhere

ČT2 live streaming keeps public-service culture and documentary on screen anywhere - live television from Prague for viewers who like their television thoughtful.
