Malchin TV (Малчин ТВ, “Herder TV”) is Mongolia's national television channel devoted to the country's herding life. Established in 2012 and on air since 30 January 2013, the channel was founded to show the life of nomadic Mongolians, the particular character of livestock husbandry, the benefits of the five kinds of livestock, and the labour and dedication of the herder.

Television for nomadic Mongolia

Malchin TV's programming centres on Mongolia's pastoral world: programmes such as Монгол малчин (“Mongolian Herder”), Малчин айлд (“At the Herder Family”), Өв соёл (“heritage”) and Эх оронч Монгол present the traditions, work and culture of the herding households that remain the backbone of Mongolian rural life.
