Shalom TV Live Stream
Shalom TV is the national gospel channel of Suriname, broadcasting on channel 31.1 from Paramaribo. It belongs to Shalom Radio & TV, the Christian broadcaster that also operates Shalom Radio on 94.5 FM, and its output is built on the three words the station uses to describe itself: inspiration, faith and current affairs.
A gospel channel for a small, multilingual country
Suriname's television market is compact, and Shalom TV holds a distinct place in it as the country's gospel service. Broadcasting in Dutch for a population that also speaks Sranan Tongo, Hindi and Javanese, the channel addresses the Protestant and evangelical congregations that make up a large part of Surinamese church life, carrying their worship and teaching into homes across the country.
What the channel carries
The schedule is devotional in character: preaching and sermons from Surinamese pastors, gospel music from local and international artists, and programmes on Christian living that sit between worship and everyday concerns. The station's own summary - inspiration, faith, current affairs - reflects the balance it aims for, with room for community matters alongside the purely devotional.
Radio and television under one roof
Shalom TV grew out of Shalom Radio, the gospel station on 94.5 FM, and the two services share a newsroom and a ministry. Listeners who follow the radio during the day meet the same pastors and presenters on screen in the evening, and the broadcaster keeps both going as a single Christian voice in Paramaribo.
