Firstlight online - Television live

Firstlight Live Stream

Firstlight is the television ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in New Zealand. It broadcasts nationwide and online, and describes itself as a broadcasting network rather than a single channel.

A schedule built for the church year

The network publishes a full schedule and offers both live viewing and catch-up, so a programme missed on air can be found later. Its programming follows the Adventist pattern: services and preaching, Bible study and prophecy, health and lifestyle, family material and music, with the Saturday service at the centre of the week.

Books and study, not only programmes

What distinguishes Firstlight's site is the weight it gives to reading. It offers free books by post - The Great Controversy, Steps to Christ, a health and wellness title, SPOTLESS - together with free Bible study guides and a Bible offer, and it publishes Steps to Christ to read online. The television work is treated as one part of a wider effort to put Adventist literature in people's hands.

How it reaches viewers

Firstlight is carried on New Zealand's broadcast platforms and through its own app, with instructions on the site for tuning in, and it streams online for viewers outside the country. A prayer-request form and a statement of faith are published alongside, and the network is supported by donations.
