Imam Hussein TV 1 Live Stream

Imam Hussein TV 1 is the Persian-language channel of the Imam Hussein Media Group and the first of its family of services. It broadcasts from Karbala in Farsi, carries the teaching of the Ahl al-Bayt, and reaches Iran, Afghanistan and the Persian-speaking diaspora by satellite and online.

What the channel carries

The schedule is built on religious instruction and observance: lectures by scholars on doctrine, jurisprudence and the conduct of the believer, recitation and devotional sessions, and coverage of the great commemorations of the Shia calendar - Muharram, Arba'een and the martyrdoms of the Imams. The Persian service adds its own studio programming, with discussion and teaching presented in Farsi rather than dubbed.

Its satellites

The group distributes its Persian channel on Hotbird at 10949 MHz, vertical and on Yahsat at 12594 MHz, vertical, which between them cover Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The network's site lists each channel with its position, so a viewer can find the right service for their region.

Part of a network

The Imam Hussein Media Group runs a family of Shia channels in seven languages - Persian, Arabic, English, Urdu, Turkish, a live service and the Shia Waves news outlet - working from Karbala and broadcasting by satellite and online. Each channel has its own audience and its own schedule, while sharing the group's production base and its coverage of the shrines.
