Russia 24 Live Stream

Russia 24 is the 24-hour news channel of Russia's VGTRK state broadcasting company, covering national and world events with the country's largest regional correspondent network. Viewers who watch TV online can follow the live broadcast on the Smotrim platform.

The State News Channel

Russia 24 grew out of the Vesti news channel, launched in 2006, and took its current name with the rebranding of the VGTRK family. Its defining feature is the regional structure: the channel's airtime is shared with the company's regional branches, which insert their own local news windows into the national grid.

The Day on Air

The schedule runs on Vesti news editions through the day, with live reports from correspondents across the country. Regional windows let each federal subject's branch broadcast its own news to its audience, while the federal grid carries interview formats, press review segments and analysis programs. Major state events bring extended live coverage.

Programs and Formats

Around the rolling news sit weekly review programs, talk formats on politics and society, and documentary broadcasts from the VGTRK archive. The channel's coverage of forums, elections and official events is among the most extensive on Russian television.

Presenters and the Regional Network

The channel's anchors present from the Moscow newsroom, while the VGTRK branches supply reporters and regional anchors from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. That network makes the channel the most geographically complete news service in the country.
