One America News Network, known as OANN or OAN, is an American news and political commentary service founded by Robert Herring Sr. and owned by Herring Networks. It launched on 4 July 2013 and is headquartered in San Diego, California, with bureaus in Washington and New York.

OAN was announced on 14 March 2013 by Herring Networks, an independent media company founded in 2003 by the conservative businessman Robert Herring Sr. The channel originally debuted in partnership with The Washington Times, the conservative daily founded by the Unification Church of South Korea.

The company said in 2019 that OAN was available in thirty-five million homes and that its audience ranged from 150,000 to 500,000, although Nielsen Media Research estimated viewership at about 14,000 that year. By July 2022 the network reached only the few hundred thousand people subscribing to smaller cable providers, after DirecTV stopped carrying it.

Robert Herring Sr. testified in court in 2019 that the network had been created at the urging of executives at AT&T, whose subsidiary DirecTV had supplied up to ninety per cent of its revenue. Its prime-time talk shows take a conservative position, the channel has described itself as one of the greatest supporters of Donald Trump, and it is known for promoting falsehoods and conspiracy theories.

Programming

The schedule is built on news bulletins and long blocks of political talk, with presenters who anchor several hours a day and interviews with figures from American conservatism. Coverage concentrates on Washington, the presidency, Congress and the economy, and the network reports from its bureaus in Washington and New York alongside the San Diego headquarters.

Access

OAN is carried by smaller cable providers and distributed through streaming platforms, and its live signal is delivered over the internet in high definition at 1920 by 1080 pixels and thirty frames per second.
