CNN Originals Live Stream

CNN Originals is a dedicated streaming channel built from the network's own long-form production. Where the main CNN service runs rolling news, this feed carries the documentaries, series and films that the network's production units make, giving them a continuous home rather than scattering them across the schedule.

What the Channel Carries

The material ranges from single documentaries on politics, conflict, science and culture to multi-part series that follow a subject over several hours. CNN Films productions sit alongside them, together with the network's biographical and historical programmes and its interview-led specials.

Because the output is drawn from an archive rather than a newsroom, the channel is not tied to the day's events. Editions run in blocks, and a particular documentary or series can be followed across the week.

Distribution

CNN Originals is distributed as a free ad-supported streaming channel through the Amagi platform, which delivers it to connected televisions and streaming services with adaptive bitrate levels and English closed captions.

The programmes themselves also appear on CNN's own platforms and on the streaming services that carry the network, where they sit alongside the news output.

Audience

The channel addresses viewers who want the network's journalism in longer form: documentary audiences, people following a particular investigation, and those who prefer a finished film to continuous coverage.
