Ariana TV - officially the Ariana Television Network, ATN - is Afghanistan's largest private broadcaster. Launched on 17 August 2005 by Afghan-American entrepreneur Ehsanollah Bayat, founder of Afghan Wireless, it reaches all 34 provinces of the country and broadcasts in Dari and Pashto, with regional programming in Uzbeki and Turkmen, and streams its live signal online.

A Network Built for the Whole Country

ATN's stated mission is information and entertainment that rekindles Afghanistan's traditions and culture - a window for a better tomorrow, as the network describes it. News bulletins in the country's main languages sit alongside drama series, music programs, children's shows and educational formats covering health and social issues.

The Cricket Broadcaster

In recent years ATN has become Afghanistan's premier sports broadcaster, holding exclusive national rights to ICC cricket - the sport the country follows as its own. Its cultural and traditional programming and the educational grid the network builds around it serve all citizens of Afghanistan, as the network's own mission promises.

From Kabul, with its sister service Radio Ariana 93.5 on FM beside it, ATN remains the country's largest media network - the private screen that reached all 34 provinces when few others could. For Afghan audiences at home and the diaspora abroad, it keeps the country's television on air around the clock.
