Polar TV Live Stream

POLAR is the largest private television company operating in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic, broadcasting from Ostrava. The company produces regional and city television, advertising and other video programmes, and provides internet services.

Viewers follow TV Polar for regional news from Ostrava and the Moravian-Silesian Region - municipal affairs, regional politics and community coverage.

From News Windows to Multiplex 24

Before having a channel of its own, Polar produced regional news windows for the Czech national channels Prima and Nova. Full-day broadcasting of its own television began on 5 March 2012, and today the signal reaches 1.2 million inhabitants of the region through terrestrial multiplex 24, cable networks and the internet, with the polar.cz portal carrying the same reports.

The Region's Most-Watched Local News

The schedule combines news, current-affairs programmes, thematic magazines, live transmissions and entertainment, with Regionální zprávy POLAR as the most-watched programme: crews report daily from the cities and municipalities of the Moravian-Silesian Region. Around nine percent of the region's inhabitants watch the channel daily, and roughly forty percent tune in at least several times a week - numbers that make POLAR a genuine regional player. The company's production arm also creates advertising, instructional, educational and documentary videos for external clients.
