Arte Tv Live Stream

Arte is the Franco-German culture channel, broadcasting documentaries, films, concerts and the arts in German and French from its headquarters in Strasbourg. Viewers who watch TV online can follow the channel live anywhere.

Europe's Culture Channel

Arte was founded by treaty between France and Germany and went on air in 1992, created to bring the two countries - and Europe - a shared cultural television. Organized as a European partnership between Arte France and Arte Deutschland, it broadcasts the same programs in two languages to audiences across the continent.

Theme Evenings and Premieres

The daytime carries documentaries and magazine programs on science, history and society. The evening belongs to the channel's signature programming: documentary premieres, European and world cinema, concerts and opera and the arts magazines. Theme evenings gather documentaries and films around a single subject, and weekends bring the channel's performing arts broadcasts.

Co-Produced Across Europe

The grid is built on documentary filmmaking at the highest European level: history and geopolitics, nature and discovery, portraits of artists and cities. Around them sit cinema classics and new European films, drama series from across the continent and music broadcasts from the great concert halls and festivals.

A European Production

Programs come from the channel's own production arms and co-productions with broadcasters and filmmakers across Europe. The dual German-French structure - two newsrooms, one screen - makes Arte a unique institution of European public broadcasting.

Europe's Cultural Common Room

Arte live streaming keeps Europe's culture channel on screen at any hour - live television from Strasbourg in German and French.
