TV channels Lifestyle
Lifestyle television is built around the pleasures of daily life: food, travel, fashion, health, cars, wildlife and countryside living. Most of these stations are thematic, each one built around a single passion rather than a general schedule. The strongest national group here is Bulgarian, reflecting the country's unusually rich thematic television market, with Russia supplying the other large block.
Food and Countryside Programming
Cooking is the best-represented theme. Brazil's Canal K operates as Chef TV+, a project dedicated to gastronomy and lifestyle, Russia's Eda TV is devoted entirely to cooking with recipes from the country's chefs, and the Dutch Happy Chef TV serves tasty dishes, tips and tricks from famous chefs. Romania's Agro Tv covers agriculture and the agri-food sector, while Russia's TV channel Zagorodniy and Sochi Live - the resort city's own channel - round out the countryside and coastal living theme.
Travel and Nature
Travel channels form the second pillar. Travel TV is Eastern Europe's first channel dedicated to tourism, travel and adventure, broadcasting from Sofia, and its Globus Media Group stablemate This is Bulgaria HD TV presents the country's beauty, culture and destinations. México Travel Channel explores the best destinations in Mexico and the world, and Argentina's Viajar Tv takes viewers to the most beautiful corners of the planet. Nature programming belongs to the Czech Natura TV with live broadcasts from natural locations, and Turkey's Yaban Tv, whose wildlife documentaries have made it a favorite of nature lovers. For active viewers, Russia's TV channel My element covers extreme sports, expeditions and the outdoor life on water, land and in the air.
Fashion and Style
The fashion block covers three markets. Bulgaria's Code Fashion TV presents the world of style, beauty and the Bulgarian fashion scene, Fashion TV Czech & Slovak broadcasts fashion shows, designer interviews and the latest trends, and Russia's World Fashion Channel works as an international service for fashion shows and trends. France's Men's up TV completes the group with programming built around the men's world.
Health, Cars and Special Interests
Health is served by Bulgaria's Code Health TV, broadcasting around the clock on medicine, prevention and wellbeing, and by the British Swamiji TV, the channel of the Yoga in Daily Life movement. Motorsport fans can choose between Bulgaria's 100% Auto Moto TV and Italy's Motori TV, both dedicated to cars, bikes and the world of motors. Spain's Taroteame specializes in tarot readings and predictions, Denmark's TV 2 Fri brings its own leisure programming, and culture has its say through Bulgaria's TV art with theater, opera and concert broadcasts and Russia's Russian World, an educational and cultural channel from Yekaterinburg.
Around these specialists sits a ring of lighter and mixed-format stations: Turkey's music channel Fortuna TV, Chile's digital WappTV, Pakistan's JooMusic, Russia's folk channel Zhar Ptitsa, Argentina's El Garage TV with original content and interviews, Turkey's AV TV with news, sports, entertainment and cultural content, Georgia's Girchi TV of the New Political Center-Girchi, Venezuela's Vepaco Tv and DAN TV, Puerto Rico's family channel Tiva TV, and from the United States the Miami-based Miami TV and The Beach Channel, covering South Florida's events and beach life. One channel, one passion - that is what makes lifestyle television so easy to navigate by taste.
