Channel 78 is St. Petersburg's city television channel — the municipal broadcaster covering Russia's northern capital since 2017.

St. Petersburg's Own Channel

The grid is the city on screen: news and current affairs from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, talk shows and documentaries on the city's life and history, cultural programming from the capital of Russian culture, and municipal coverage of the government of a five-million metropolis.

A City Channel for the Northern Capital

Channel 78 — named for St. Petersburg's region code — was created to give the city its own modern television voice, replacing the old state regional broadcaster.
