Polsat News Polityka is a news and publicistics channel of Telewizja Polsat devoted to Polish politics. It began broadcasting on 10 January 2024 at 00:06, taking over the signal then used by Wydarzenia 24.

The change followed an application filed with the National Broadcasting Council in November 2023 to alter the Wydarzenia 24 licence. The request was approved in early December, which allowed internal testing, and the launch date and schedule were announced on 9 January 2024. On the same day Wydarzenia 24 began a new satellite transmission and appeared on multiplex 1 at position 49.

Parliamentary Coverage

The channel's core purpose is to carry the work of the institutions themselves. It transmits sittings of the Sejm and the Senate live, together with sessions of investigative committees and the press conferences held by political parties.

Around those transmissions the schedule places analysis and discussion. Studio parlament and Debata polityczna are the current staples, and Debata tygodnia ran from 26 April 2024. Guests include politicians, commentators and lawyers, and the programmes are produced in Warsaw.

Schedule and Character

The station works as a continuous political service rather than a general news channel. During the night it carries programmes from the wider Polsat group, while the day is given over to parliamentary business and political discussion.

Reception

Polsat News Polityka is available from satellite and cable operators and is streamed through the Polsat online platform, alongside the main Polsat News service.
