Its official channel describes a round the clock service built around news and public affairs. The broadcaster says its editorial purpose is to offer fair and unbiased coverage and to serve the public’s right to know.

Tamil news and regional public affairs

The channel’s identity is rooted in Tamil language news. Its active news output includes reporting and discussion around political developments in Tamil Nadu, with recent headlines naming state and national political figures. This connects the station with viewers following government, parties and public debate in the region. Its stated format is a 24/7 satellite news service, rather than a single subject channel.

Reporting and public interest

M Nadu News says that the public’s right to know guides its editorial work. The official channel description emphasizes reporters and journalists working to present news that reflects issues on people’s minds. It describes this approach as independent and uncompromising, and characterizes its coverage as fair and unbiased. These are the channel’s own statements about its editorial goals, which place public interest and factual reporting at the centre of its identity.

Current affairs and political coverage

News headlines and current affairs give the channel a focus on public institutions, political decisions and events that affect Tamil speaking audiences. A recent official broadcast headline covered several prominent political figures, illustrating the channel’s attention to regional political developments alongside broader Indian politics. Its mix of developing news and discussion is aimed at viewers who want context around events as they unfold.

Channel identity

The official channel identifies the service as M Nadu News and describes it as a Tamil satellite news channel. It does not publish a named programme roster or presenter list in the profile reviewed, so this overview focuses on the confirmed format and editorial purpose. The combination of Tamil news, political coverage and a stated commitment to public information defines the station’s role in Indian television.
