Living India News Live Stream

Living India News covers the northern belt of India in two languages at once, filing its bulletins in Punjabi and Hindi from the same newsroom. The channel calls itself "the real pulse of North India" and builds its identity on reporting straight from the ground rather than on studio punditry, with a schedule that follows Punjab and Haryana through the day and picks up the neighbouring states when the story crosses a border.

Punjab at the centre of the schedule

The state assembly in Chandigarh is the channel's most reliable source of material. Living India News carried the special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in full, from the resolutions passed unanimously to the argument over canal water and the demand for access to the Kartarpur Corridor, where the debate turned on why pilgrims from the state still cannot reach the shrine.

Around the assembly sittings, the channel covers the machinery of the state government: the Chief Minister's announcements on education and agriculture, paddy procurement and the promise of better returns for farmers, welfare measures such as the push to grant Scheduled Caste status to the Nayak community, and the Vigilance Bureau's annual awareness week.

Crime, security and the drug economy

Police reporting is another pillar. The channel follows the state's campaign against trafficking and gang networks closely, including arms and narcotics seizures such as the Amritsar case in which seven people, among them a serving soldier, were held with pistols and heroin, and it reports on the fallout of organised crime in towns across the Malwa and Doaba belts.

Its correspondents also track the ordinary safety stories that dominate local bulletins - killings in Firozpur, bomb threats that empty schools in Mohali, and the political rows that follow each one, from the opposition's accusations to the government's response.

Politics, sport and the regional mix

Electoral politics runs through the schedule: the channel covers the Aam Aadmi Party government's campaigns, the Congress and BJP responses, and the career of figures such as the transport minister and the state's opposition leaders. Its Special Report and debate segments give those stories room beyond the headline, with field reports from districts and studio argument in Punjabi.

Sport gets regular space as well, particularly hockey, and the channel has followed the run-up to international tournaments hosted in Punjab, the arrival of visiting teams and the state's ambition to be treated as a sporting host. Entertainment, health, technology and business fill the rest of the grid, with a Hindi desk and a Punjabi desk feeding the same channel - a bilingual arrangement that reflects the audience it serves, from Amritsar and Jalandhar to Chandigarh and the Haryana border districts.
