RTM Parlimen - Dewan Rakyat Live Stream

RTM Parlimen - Dewan Rakyat is an online parliamentary service carrying proceedings of Malaysia’s House of Representatives. Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) began airing Dewan Rakyat sessions on TV1 in 2013, and the Parliament’s official portal records that the proceedings could also be followed through RTM’s website. The feed lets viewers watch live parliamentary business rather than a general television schedule.

From TV1 coverage to an online parliamentary feed

The Parliament of Malaysia states that TV1 began broadcasting the House’s sitting on 1 July 2013. At the same time, RTM’s parliamentary website offered access to proceedings on computers, tablets and phones. Later parliamentary information describes online access to the full sitting through RTM’s service. The Dewan Rakyat feed is therefore focused on the work of elected representatives in the chamber and the formal business of Parliament.

Debates, questions and legislative business

Coverage centers on Dewan Rakyat debates, parliamentary questions, members’ speeches, legislative proceedings and parliamentary decisions. These are not studio discussion formats: the feed follows the House’s proceedings as they take place. RTM Parlimen live stream is a useful way to describe this direct coverage of Malaysia’s lower house, whose sessions form part of the country’s parliamentary process.
