TV Pirveli is a Georgian television broadcaster whose slogan describes its role as being “beyond influence, in the midst of events.” Its reporting focuses on developments in Georgia, including politics, social affairs and economic issues. The station’s identity is closely associated with journalism and coverage of current events. Its online television presence extends the TV Pirveli name beyond its original broadcast format.

From TVS to a general broadcaster

The station began broadcasting on 2 March 2015 under the name TVS, initially as a sports channel. It later obtained a general broadcasting licence and changed its format, becoming TV Pirveli. This shift from a sports-focused service to a general television broadcaster is a central part of the channel’s history.

Journalists and current affairs

Journalists and presenters associated with TV Pirveli include Inga Grigolia, Nodar Meladze, Diana Trapaidze and Giorgi Isakadze.
