Ananda Barta (আনন্দবার্তা) is a Bengali-language news channel and news portal based in Purba Bardhaman district of West Bengal, with editorial coverage spanning Kolkata and the whole state. The channel describes itself as the leading Bengali news operation in the district, carrying small and big news from different parts of Bengal.

Viewers follow Ananda Barta for West Bengal news, Kolkata coverage, politics, current affairs and regional events.

An evening broadcast window across Bardhaman and Bengal

The channel's daily broadcast runs from 6 pm to 11 pm, a regional window built around evening viewing, with live extensions of its programmes carried around the schedule. Its output follows the structure of the accompanying news portal: dedicated sections for Bardhaman district, Kolkata and South Bengal, alongside politics, crime, country and international news, entertainment, cricket and football, and lifestyle-service categories from health and religion to technology, jobs and agriculture.

A district-rooted newsroom

Ananda Barta's identity is rooted in the district it serves: Purba Bardhaman's own stories — administration, agriculture, education and civic life — sit at the centre of its coverage, complemented by the state and national agenda adapted for the Bengali audience. That local anchoring is what separates the channel from Kolkata-centred competitors, giving Bardhaman and the surrounding districts a newsroom of their own.
