Ekhon Kolkata (এখন কলকাতা, "Now Kolkata") is a Bengali-language news television channel and digital news portal from Kolkata, West Bengal. Its promise — "your news, in your language" — accompanies a newsroom that runs a continuous breaking-news operation for the city and the state in Bengali.

Viewers follow Ekhon Kolkata for West Bengal news, Kolkata coverage, politics, current affairs and city events.

A full map of Bengal

What distinguishes the outlet's coverage is its regional structure: separate desks for the city, for North Bengal — Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Malda and the Dinajpur districts — for the Rarh districts of the state's west, and for South Bengal from Howrah and the 24 Parganas to Medinipur. Alongside geography, the portal organises its reporting by theme: politics, the state's 2026 elections, sport, entertainment, business and weather.

Newsroom style

The channel describes its approach as rich, detailed and insightful reporting with smart presentation, aimed at viewers in India and the Bengali audience abroad. Its daily output mixes breaking coverage of the Kolkata region's crime, civic and transport stories with district reporting and current-affairs programming for the Bengali audience worldwide.
