DD India Live Stream

DD India is Prasar Bharati’s English-language international news channel, serving viewers in India and abroad. The public broadcaster describes its coverage as including national and international news, current affairs, foreign affairs, economics, sports and culture, with attention to events that matter to a global audience.

News and analysis

Alongside news bulletins, DD India publishes discussion and explanatory programmes. Its current channel page lists Economic Brief (Economic Briefing), a weekly programme about major developments in the Indian and global economy, and Voice of the Global South, a weekly show featuring perspectives from countries of the Global South. Both programme descriptions and their stated broadcast times are provided by Prasar Bharati and may change.

The broadcaster’s annual report also describes interviews, recorded features and reporting on international affairs, the economy, sport and culture. This makes DD India an English-language public-service news outlet with a wider subject range than breaking-news coverage alone.

International service

DD India is operated by Prasar Bharati (India’s Public Service Broadcaster) through Doordarshan. The channel is intended for audiences around the world, including the Indian diaspora. Its editorial mission, as stated by the broadcaster, is to present news and analysis from India and across the world. Check the official DD India page for the latest programme descriptions and schedule details.
