New Delhi Television, Since 1988

NDTV began in 1988 as a news producer for Doordarshan - The World This Week was its landmark - the show that made the house's name - and launched NDTV 24x7, its English news channel, in 2003. The Hindi sister service, NDTV India, carries the same newsroom to the Hindi-speaking audience: two languages, one house, from New Delhi - the Roys' newsroom, on air around the clock.
