2x2 Channel Live Stream

2x2 is a Russian entertainment channel of Gazprom-Media - the country's home of animation and youth culture, and one of the oldest brands in Russian television.

The First Commercial Channel of the USSR

2x2 began broadcasting on 27 September 1989 as the first non-state television channel of the Soviet Union. In the 1990s the original 2x2 mixed home shopping with cartoons before losing its frequency in 1997; the 2007 relaunch returned the brand to a generation that had grown up with it, and since 2014 it has been part of Gazprom-Media.

Animation and Geek Culture

The grid is built on adult animation - The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park - alongside anime, Russian animated originals and geek-culture shows for young adult viewers.

A Cult Community

The channel produces its own Russian animated originals and runs one of the country's most active fan communities, with the live signal on 2x2tv.ru and Rutube.
