SVT1 Live Stream

SVT1 is the flagship channel of Sveriges Television - the Swedish public broadcaster's primary service, on air since 5 September 1956 as the country's first television channel.

Sweden's Public Channel

SVT1 is the main channel of Sveriges Television, Sweden's public broadcaster, carrying national news, Swedish drama and entertainment programming in Swedish. The channel is Sweden's most-watched public television service.

News, Drama and National Events

The schedule is anchored by Rapport, SVT's flagship evening news, and Aktuellt, the in-depth current-affairs programme. Swedish drama series, entertainment shows and live coverage of national occasions - from Melodifestivalen - Sweden's Eurovision selection and the country's biggest annual television event - to national celebrations - form the channel's public-service schedule. SVT is funded by the television fee, and SVT1's signal covers the whole country.
