The channel carries RTR Planeta content - news, series and entertainment from the Russian state broadcaster - alongside its own local inserts for the Moldovan audience, serving Chișinău and the regions.

Regulator Suspensions

RTR Moldova has repeatedly faced suspension by Moldova's broadcasting regulator over its airing of Russian state coverage of the war in Ukraine - the channel's fate has tracked the country's political tensions over Russian media.

RTR Planeta

The content source is RTR Planeta, the international service of Russia's state broadcaster VGTRK: the Vesti news service and the network's drama and entertainment brands, in Russian, for Moldova's large Russian-speaking minority - in a country of about 2.5 million people.
