The Word Network Live Stream

The Word Network is an American religious broadcasting network headquartered at the Broadcast House in Southfield, Michigan. Launched on 14 February 2000 by broadcaster Kevin Adell, it has grown into what it describes as the largest African-American religious network in the world, and it is followed online through its live stream.

Ministries and Programs

The schedule is built on preaching, teaching and gospel music from ministries across the African-American church community. Long-running programs include Let the Healing Begin and Greg Davis Live with Bishop Greg Davis, The Gospel According to Dorinda and Rising Stars with Dorinda featuring Dorinda Clark Cole, The Empowerment Encounter with Dr. Jamal Bryant, The First Word with Bishop George Bloomer, The Threshing Floor with Dr. Juanita Bynum, Word Network Church with Lexi Allen and Your Time for Miracles with Bishop Clarence McClendon.

From DirecTV Launch to a Worldwide Network

The Word Network began on DirecTV in February 2000 and soon extended to all major US cable platforms before moving to satellite; the network claims viewers in 200 countries. In May 2012 it completed a multimillion-dollar expansion of its Southfield headquarters with a new television studio, editing suites and a call center, and opened West Coast facilities in Orange, California. Beyond cable and satellite, the network airs on over-the-air affiliates in Houston, Detroit and Pensacola and streams on connected-TV platforms. It also covers the community's major gatherings, including the Church of God in Christ Holy Convocation and the Full Gospel Conference, and broadcasts the Gospel Music Awards.
